A Rossiter Workout is a deep tissue stretch that is done with a partner. Its purpose is to eliminate chronic aches and pains frequently associated with aging and/or an active lifestyle.
The process is as follows: The person with the discomfort tells the Rossiter Coach where he or she is experiencing the discomfort. Based on where the discomfort is, the Rossiter Coach determines the most effective stretch. The client (also known as the Person in Charge/PIC) remains fully clothed and lays down on a mat on the floor. The Rossiter coach then adds weight, using her foot, to a very specific area of the PIC's body that correlates with the reported area of discomfort. The PIC says how much weight is appropriate (generally the more weight that is added, the faster the pain relief). After enough weight has been added, the coach instructs the PIC to do a specific movement that causes a stretching and realigning of the PIC's connective tissue. The stretching and realigning create space in the area of pain. With more space, the cause of the pain (no space) is eliminated and pain relief is immediately noticable.
Some people require several Rossiter sessions for complete pain relief while other people need only one session.
