The YOUR-SYSTEM of Beliefs domain is an outgrowth of the 'alternative medical systems' domain set forth by NIH. In the United States, Western medicine (or allopathy) is the primary medical system we operate under and this western medical system is what our insurance payment systems are organized around. So, for most of us, western medicine is part of our medical system. Your health system is based upon your beliefs about health and healing. Different health systems around the world have very different beliefs about the origins of health and disease.
